Chris Naler serves as BayFirst’s Director of Business Development. His portfolios include the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Department of Veterans Affairs, and international security programs. In 2014 he transitioned to the private sector after serving 28 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, with assignments in both conventional and special operations forces. Prior to joining BayFirst he was a national security consultant, Emcee and speaker for international security conferences, and business development executive for multiple small defense businesses. He has led the development of strategic partnerships and capture efforts that support creating new markets and bring data analytics to critical national security missions.
He serves as a Senior Mentor for the Strategic Communications courses at the NATO School Oberammergau, Germany. In August 2015 he joined Texas Christian University as a Graduate Adjunct Professor at the Schieffer Communications College, teaching both undergraduate and graduate Strategic Communications courses.
Chris is a graduate of the University of North Texas, BBA in Strategic Management; Marine Corps University School of Advanced Warfighting, Masters in Operational Studies; Executive education certificates from MIT Seminar XXI and Brooking’s Executive Education in partnership with the Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis. He was the Marine Corps Fellow at The Brooking’s Institution, and graduate of Oklahoma State’s Veterans Entrepreneurship Program.
