BayFirst Solutions Coast Guard team members earn professional recognition
Norfolk, V.A. — Two BayFirst Solutions employees were recognized for their professional accomplishments at a recent awards ceremony in Norfolk, where BayFirst has regional operations in support of the U.S. Coast Guard Health, Safety, and Work Life Service Center. Fern Wharton, a 3rd year BayFirst employee, and Gloria Jackson Warren, who’s finishing her 1st year as a BayFirst employee, were honored with a luncheon and presented their awards by Tamera Phillips, a program manager for BayFirst’s work in the Tidewater area.
“BayFirst believes in our employees, and our awards system gives meaningful ways for our company to say ‘thank you’ to employees like Fern Wharton and Gloria Jackson Warren,” Tamera Phillips said. “Everyone who works with these two exemplary team members has high regard for their contribution. As our Coast Guard partners are responding to the COVID-19 crisis while maintaining their routine duties, Fern and Gloria support these efforts with their characteristic professionalism and a winsome, positive approach to their work.”
BayFirst CEO Kevin Gooch seconded Phillips commendation of the Norfolk-based team. “Our strategic work and success with our U.S. Coast Guard clients is strengthened by the examples of both Fern and Gloria,” Gooch said. “We are proud of these two employees and the work they do. Our reputation and record of service is built on the kinds of employees who cultivate such strong relationships with our clients and contract partners.”
The BayFirst Awards Program is one reason the company has routinely been recognized as one of the best employers among Washington, D.C-based companies. Award recipients receive a certificate of commendation, cash bonus, and awards luncheon in their honor.
